Ladani children of Thambarawila Home got the opportunity to take part in the 41 Anniversary of Sri Lanka Karate Do Federation – National Karate Championship – 2016 held at the Sugathadas Stadium on 24th October 2016. Ladani children won a gold medal, two silver medals and three bronze medals.
World Children’s Day organized by the Department of Probation and child care Services was held on the 06th October 2016. It was brimful of excitement and cheering since there were competitions for children. Ladani children took part in them and won many places.

The 40th Ordination Anniversary of Rev. Fr. Neville Coonghe, the Founder Director of Ladani was celebrated on the 30th July 2016 at Ladani Apeksha. The thanksgiving Holy Eucharistic celebration was at 10.30 a.m. and the variety entertainment programme was at 3.30p.m.
